Our Story
It started with a Yorkie named Riley. Back in 2007, Ashlea had a dog with a habit of running next door and scratching at Michael’s door — like he was trying to introduce them. He was right! One year later, Michael and Ashlea got married and built a life together. In 2021, they built something for the community they love: a pet store rooted in real care, not corporate checklists.
We opened Riley’s Pet Market in 2021 because we believed Clarksville deserved better. A place where someone actually knows your pet’s name. Where the food is chosen because it’s good — not because of a vendor deal. Where you walk in with a question and leave with an answer. That’s what we built. That’s what we’re still building.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Photographic Technology, I started my own business nearly 14 years ago and have never looked back! Before moving to Clarksville, I was a member of the Professional Photographers of Central FIorida. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I have been voted Top Ten Photographer in Orlando every year since 2016. I’ve also received a number of national merits and awards for my work. I am proud to be Clarksville’s only Certified Professional Photographer specializing in Pet Photography!

After serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy, I received a MBA degree while managing supply chains for a large Fortune 500 company. After over 12 years, I decided it was time to leave the corporate world and open my own small business.
Running my own pet business has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’m excited to be providing the great products and services of Riley’s Pet Market to the Clarksville area.
